Following the postponement of the event in December, The Dubliner Fight Night has now been rescheduled to take place on Saturday 28th January 2017. The organisers have confirmed that the required officials are now available and a boxing permit granted.
The event which was launched in August 2016 has attracted in excess of 30 amateur contenders in training which have now been shortlisted for 11 fights.
Gary Manning of the Dubliner said, “We’ve been blown away with the level of interest from our contenders and their commitment and professionalism in training. The team have really put in the hard yards and will be in great shape for the event.”
The event, which sold out in minutes will see all proceeds donated to the Methven Rugby Football Club lighting upgrade fund and a donation will be made to St John. All tickets for the original night remain valid for the event.
The weigh-in for the event will take place in the Dubliner on Friday 27th January at 7pm and will be open to the public to attend.
