‘Small Town – Big Sound’ – that’s the catch cry for the Methven Action committee’s next big event in town early 2016.
“Summer Sounds Methven”, an outdoor music in the park style event, is scheduled for Saturday 20th of February 2016. Big acts like Eddie Low of the New Zealand Country Music Hall of Fame and The DC Boys from will be entertaining with many other kiwi artists such as Amelia James, Robbie Giddens & The Brewers, Holly Kimber, FADE, Waynebo, Full House, and Huttchicks.
Set to take place in the Methven Domain, this area can cater for large numbers which organisers hope to attract. Richard Sheppard of the MAC commented “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Methven and the local businesses in the area and support Methven Care Trust.”
Summer Sounds Methven is a Charity event with donations accepted at the gate. Money raised will go to the development of the Methven Aged Care facilities in memory of the late Allan Totty. More information about this event can be found at www.summersoundsmethven.co.nz.
