Earlybird season pass pricing at $299 released to the market this week by NZSki is aimed at growing participation in skiing and snowboarding at Mt Hutt next winter.
In an extensive review of its annual season pass offerings, skiers and snowboarders are the winners, with hundreds of dollars shaved from pass prices with increased choice and extended benefits.
The company is widely-regarded for delivering a quality ski and snowboard experience to everyone from local schoolchildren to beginners, families and die-hard New Zealand and Australian snowsports fans. Just last week, Mt Hutt won the title of New Zealand’s best ski resort at the World Ski Awards.
Since taking over Mt Hutt in 2002, NZSki has invested in refining its facilities, including significant trail development, high speed lifts, terrain parks and access road improvements. Now it’s turned its focus to making skiing and snowboarding more affordable by launching a Mt Hutt season pass priced at a stunning Earlybird price of $299 for adults. The price has been set with growth in mind and is expected to bring back lapsed skiers and snowboarders as well as families and new participants to snow sports.
The Earlybird Mt Hutt Pass is $450 cheaper than the equivalent pass in 2015. Multi-day passes are also on offer for the Earlybird period with a four day pass priced at $272. The Kids 10 years And Under ski for free offer will also continue at Mt Hutt for 2016.
A four-day Learn to Ski package (lift, lesson and rental) has been introduced at just $299 with an optional $100 upgrade to a Mt Hutt Season Pass once the programme has been completed.
The Learn to Ski package has been developed to provide an affordable way in to skiing and riding for locals and visitors alike.
Australian skiers and snowboarders heading across the Tasman for a winter holiday at ‘New Zealand’s best ski resort’ can also access the deals – helping drive business for Methven and Canterbury across the board.
NZSki CEO Paul Anderson said the change to pass prices and a key Learn to Ski package aimed to make a season pass affordable for skiers who may have stopped due to cost constraints.
“We’re thrilled to be in a position to offer this fantastic season pass price. We know there are lots of people who have moved to Canterbury recently who haven’t yet experienced the fun of snowsports. Also, there are lots of families who haven’t been up at Mt Hutt over the past few years and we want to do everything we can to make sure they can experience what it’s all about. Of course this deal also makes skiing more affordable for our loyal locals who share our passion for the mountains and snowsports. We’re proud of the facilities we’ve invested in over the years and want to make sure as many people as possible come up and enjoy what’s on offer. We live in these incredible regions with mountains on our doorstep so let’s get as many people as possible up on our slopes enjoying the snow, the rush of exhilaration as you swoop down a run or tackle an off-piste challenge, and the tired sense of satisfaction that comes at the end of a great day out.”
All passes can be bought online at www.nzski.com between December 17 2015 and March 31 2016, making them the perfect Christmas gift for friends or family.
