In December, the Methven Vintage Club donated $2,000 to the Methven Care Trust to be put towards the fundraising efforts for their new building.
The funds donated by the Club were raised from within the local community by residents dropping their unwanted scrap steel into our local scrap yard which the Methven Vintage Club runs.
About Methven Vintage Club
Methven Vintage Club was formed over 20 years ago and the club’s shed is located within the A&P Showgrounds.
The Club owns a variety of vintage tractors and machinery which are proudly displayed each year alongside fellow members own tractors and machinery at the A&P Show. Our members consist of those who own or have an interest in vintage tractors, machinery, traction engines and the like.
We have regular working bees to work on the tractors/machinery etc and also run the local scrap yard located on Methven Chertsey Road (beside the old Staveley Lime shed) where locals can leave unwanted scrap, which we then sort and sell.
We meet monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Club shed.
